The article reviews the immunomodulation effects of floroqunone and other antibacterial
drugs on patients suffering from colon cancer. The fluroquinolones like ciprofloxicin inhibit
cytokine-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in epithelium and help stop inflammation. The
effects of azithromycin eryhromycin, clarithromycin and doxycycline are summerized.
Detailed further studies in immune functions are suggested.
